What's in the Mug?
A sipper’s guide to herbal teas for the bloated, wired, tired (or all three)
I drink half a litre of hot water first thing most mornings. Maintaining warmth is a high priority for me, especially when it’s cold out, and apparently London’s temperatures are “set to plunge” this week. After an overnight fast (you know, sleep) I like to rehydrate in the most soothing way possible. This is the baseline of my morning routine. I do this anywhere and everywhere.
This rehydration ritual isn’t for everyone. As a nutritional therapist, I often hear from private clients that they don’t drink enough water. In fact, they don’t even like water, never mind water without a single ice cube or bubble.
This must be rectified. I can’t have my people out in the world dry and thirsty.
The good thing is, I’m not here to judge. I’m here to solve. And the solve is herbal tea.
